News Flash: Nube Green Opening

Last week, we attended the opening of Capitol Hill’s new green boutique, Nube Green (912 E. Pine St. 206-402-4515). The shop only carries products that have been recycled or repurposed, made from sustainable materials and without toxic chemicals,  and assembled, sourced and grown in the U.S. Sound like a tall order? Despite that stringent criteria, owner Ruth True has still been able to fill the shop with beautiful, interesting and useful merchandise. Things like bamboo towels, clothing and messenger bags (made locally by Alchemy Goods) ensure that you can incorporate green into your everyday routine. On the design front,  local firms like Graypants lighting and Meyer Wells furniture make an attractive impact on the shop floor.

Eat lunch at Oddfellows (they share a hallway), and go check it out! Or, follow them on their blog, twitter and Facebook, or shop online. We’re already fans!

How exciting, esp. for the Cap Hill folks who get to walk to shop eco for their homes and lifestyles!

Saw the shop not too long ago – fun to find it here. Excited to check out their wares and meet the team!
