The latest collection from Knoll Textiles shows fabric that has been reinterpreted from the Knoll archives in a contemporary way. There are four fabrics for upholstery and drapery: Nova, Quartet, Cornaro and Plain Linen (not pictured). The textile division was introduced two years ago to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic furniture company. We think it’s a great way to incorporate classic design into your modern space!

While Seattle may have to bear a false reputation as the rainiest city in the country, at least we can take heart in those oh-so-perfect summer days. And what better way to enjoy the sunshine than with a good old-fashioned picnic?

Try an environmentally friendly picnic set (because paper is so five years ago). Roost Picnic Place Setting, $44 at Velocity Art and Design. Opt for this gorgeous Jaipur Block Leaf Tapestry instead a boring blanket, $36 at Urban Outfitters.
As for the food, we’ll leave that up to you, but we can suggest the Batali family’s Salumi Artisan Cured Meats store near Pioneer Square and Paseo in Fremont. Enjoy! —Julia Chang
