Seattle Homes & Lifestyles is now online—not just on our Web site (SeattleHomesMag.com), but also Facebook and Twitter. And we’ve added a digital edition that lets you virtually page through the magazine and read every folio, just as you do the print edition.
I invite you to become a fan of the magazine on Facebook (facebook.com/SeattleHomesMag), or sign up to be my Facebook friend (facebook.com/giselle.smith) or that of any other SH&L staffer on our masthead. We’re looking forward to sharing news about events, furniture sales, great home décor finds, hot new designers and more. On the magazine’s Facebook page, we’ll post photographs, last-minute news and anything else you tell us you’d like to see there!
You can follow us on Twitter by visiting twitter.com/seattlehomesmag. This site offers an opportunity for even shorter bits of information ("Tweets") that we’ll use to keep you informed—briefly, since posts are limited to 140 characters—about everything from upcoming contests to great design tips.
This is an experiment for us, and like many people in our community, we’re learning as we go. Some of you reading this are probably far beyond us at posting Facebook updates, Tweeting succinctly and using other social media sites. We invite you to share your expertise and knowledge with us, and to let us know when we get it right, but also if we’ve got it wrong. We know what you like about the print magazine, but what do you want to see from SH&L online?
And if you haven’t started in social media networking, that doesn’t mean you’re behind the times. The speed at which all of this is happening means even the "experts" don’t have that many more months’ experience than we do.
Please join us in this new endeavor. Together, we can make it an interesting, educational and lively place.
